The Legend of Stafford Moser(Page HS/Wake Forest) lives on as a ‘Hawk on a high school football field in Guilford County

Stafford Moser is one of the best high school football players to ever play the game in Guilford County and when he began his sophomore year at Page High School he was splitting time at quarterback with Todd Ellis until Pirate coach Marion Kirby came up with the game-changing idea to move Moser to wide receiver and have Ellis run the team full time at QB….

Turned to be a great idea for Page as they went on to win two state championships with Ellis and Moser leading the way then after that Ellis went on to become the starting QB for the South Carolina Gamecocks and Moser became a wide receiver for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, along side Ricky Proehl…

Later Moser made good again when he married Proehl’s sister Deborah and then you had Stafford Moser and Deborah Proehl and Ricky all connected in a family setting…

Now we have Stafford Moser’s son Ford starting/playing as a defensive back for the Northern Guilford Nighthawks and Ford got rolling Friday night as he came up with his first career interception in the Nighhhawks win over Burlington Williams…All making dad(Stafford Moser), mom(Deborah Proehl) and uncle Ricky(Ricky Proehl) very proud and good luck to Ford, as he keeps on rolling down the road to high school football success….
