College Women’s Soccer Final – Guilford 6, Bridgewater 0

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater College’s Julie Baca tallied two goals and one assist as Guilford College fell to the host Eagles, 6-0, in a Saturday afternoon Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) contest.

Baca’s goals came back-to-back in the second half, in the 53rd and 55th minutes as part of Bridgewater’s early second-half rally. Bailey Kratz totaled two goals, tallying her first goal in the 37th minute off of an Isabella Krider feed as the Eagles went into the half with the lead, 2-0. Baca earned her third point of the match on Kratz’s second goal of the match, coming in the 59th minute.

Keri Rager scored the game’s first goal for the Eagles in the 11th minute while Emily Brummett received a long pass from Krider 75th minute to cap the Eagles’ scoring.

Bridgewater out-shot the Quakers, 30-4, and held the edge on corner kicks, 6-0

Becca Banks made eight saves, earning the start in net for the Quakers. Maggie Albert relieved her for the final 31:45 and made three stops. Hayley Talbott made two saves in net for the Eagles.

The Quakers (2-4-1, 0-1 ODAC) return to action Wednesday, hosting Hollins University at 4 p.m.
