from Michael Fields(UNCG) and with GreensboroSports.com….Michael had the chance to sit down and chat with Breanna Foster(Asheboro High School) about her decision to attend Campbell University and to play college basketball for the Camels….

What high school do you attend?
-Asheboro High School

What grade are you in?
-12th grade

What position do you play?
-Normally a 3 (small forward), but sometimes a 4 (power forward)

What are some of your good qualities on the floor?
-I am a good defender, good shooter, and distribute the ball well.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
-My goals this season are to win the conference championship and become a better team all-around.

What did you learn most playing high school basketball?
-I learned that you can’t do it alone. Everyone has to be involved and want it as bad as you for you to achieve anything.

What colleges did you get offers from?
-Campbell was my first and only offer, because I committed one month after their offer which was extremely early (early December of my junior year). I was also being looked at by: High Point University, UNC Asheville, Western Carolina, Yale, Florida Gulf Coast, North Florida, Radford, Elon, and William and Mary University.

How did Campbell stick out to you?
-Campbell is a beautiful and peaceful place to begin with, and it is a private school with not too much going on, which is exactly what I need as an athlete and student. The coaches seemed so caring and so involved in my life that made me feel so special and I didn’t receive that from other coaches. I just fell in love with every aspect of it.

What are your goals when you get to Campbell?
-My goals at Campbell are to enjoy the experience that I’m being given and to push myself to get better every day as a student and a basketball player.

What are your plans after Campbell (on and off the court)?
-My plans after Campbell are to hopefully find a job as a physical therapist or a job involving sports medicine.
