HPU Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Lyndsey Boswell Signs Four-Year Extension

HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University athletic director Dan Hauser announced Tuesday that women’s lacrosse head coach Lyndsey Boswell has signed a four-year contract extension.

Boswell founded the HPU women’s lacrosse program in 2009 and has guided the team to four conference titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances in the program’s five-year history. She has earned Coach of the Year accolades from the NLC (2011) and the Big South (2014) during her tenure.

“Lyndsey is one of the nation’s elite coaches and we are thrilled she will continue to guide our outstanding program,” Hauser said. “Coach Boswell has been one of the guiding forces in the development of our department’s championship culture and her student-athletes represent High Point University with the utmost integrity and character.”

Under Boswell’s tutelage, the Panthers have compiled a 62-33 (.653) record, including a 31-4 mark (.886) in conference play. That mark ranks the Panthers sixth in the nation in conference winning percentage over the past five seasons.

HPU won NLC championship titles in 2011 and 2012 and captured the Big South Championship crown in 2013 and 2014.

During the program’s five seasons, 29 Panthers have earned all-conference accolades, while eight student-athletes have garnered conference player of the year honors (offensive or defensive).

“I want to thank Dan Hauser and Dr. Qubein for their unwavering support of our program,” Boswell said. “High Point University women’s lacrosse is blessed with an incredibly dedicated group of student-athletes, coaches, parents, donors and staff. It’s been an honor to lead this program and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
