Note: Athletic directors, athletic trainer/safety technicians, and assistant athletic trainer/safety technicians are paid the supplement three times per year. High school cheerleading coaches are paid the supplement two times per year.

  1. Guilford County needs to try and catch up with Wake.
    It is getting harder to get teachers on staff to coach. If they would pay them well, more would consider it.

  2. The grade column is for pay grade. It has nothing to do the grade in school. I have coached for over 35 years and like most coaches we don’t do it for the money but for the players. It’s getting harder everyday to find teachers to coach because most need a second or third job to make ends meet. With coaching pay so pitiful it just doesn’t make financial sense to do it. That’s not even considering the responsibility or dealing with the parents.
