Cross Country
Elon at Wake Forest Invitational, Friday, Oct. 16, Winston-Salem, N.C.

• The Phoenix will compete at the Wake Forest Invitational on Friday, Oct. 16, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
• This is the Phoenix’s first competition since competing at the prestigious Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 3. The Phoenix women finished 16th at the meet while the men’s were 23rd overall at Louisville, the site of the 2015 NCAA Championships.
• On the men’s side, rookie Nick Ciolkowski clocked in the third-fastest time in school history at the meet with a time of 24:58.17 in the men’s 8K gold race. Senior Elyse Bierut led the women’s team with her time of 17:39.79 in the women’s 5K gold race.

Football (2-4, 1-2 CAA Football)
Inside the Huddle Luncheon, Monday, Oct. 12, at 12 p.m., Best Western Plus
Elon Football Live Radio Show, Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m., The Fat Frogg
Elon vs. James Madison, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m., Rhodes Stadium

• In Saturday’s setback at No. 16 Richmond, linebacker John Silas tallied eight total tackles to move in to seventh place on Elon’s FCS career chart with 233 total tackles. Defensive lineman Rob Sullivan posted his fifth sack of the season, tying him for fifth on the program’s FCS single-season list.
• Tre Lennon caught four passes for a career-best 110 yards. It was Lennon’s first 100-yard receiving game of his career and the first for an Elon player since last September.
• Elon will host James Madison for Homecoming this Saturday at 3 p.m. JMU will be the third consecutive top-25 foe for the Phoenix.

Men’s & Women’s Basketball
Late Night with the Phoenix, Friday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m., Alumni Gym

• Join the 2015-16 Elon men’s and women’s basketball teams on Friday for the annual Late Night with the Phoenix event to celebrate the beginning of basketball season and check out both programs in scrimmages.
• Fans will have the chance to win prizes throughout the night, including tickets to the CAA Basketball Championships.
• Doors open at 7:45 p.m. with the event tipping off at 8 p.m.

Men’s Golf
Elon Fall Intercollegiate, Oct. 19-20, Alamance Country Club, Burlington, N.C.

• Elon is back in action for a home tournament after the Tar Heel Intercollegiate was cancelled Oct. 3-4 due to weather.
• Elon has earned two top-10 finishes this season with a seventh place finish at the Golfweek Program Challenge, and a 10th place finish at the Janney VCU Shootout.
• Jonathan DiIanni and Philip Loeb have each earned top-10 finishes individually this season.

Men’s Soccer (10-2, 3-1 CAA)
Elon at UNCW, Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., Wilmington, N.C.
Elon vs. James Madison, Oct. 17, at 8 p.m., Rudd Field

• Elon went 2-0 last week with home victories versus Northeastern and Lipscomb and improved to 10-2 overall on the year. With its win over Lipscomb last Saturday, Oct. 10, Elon has reached the 10-win plateau in three of the last four seasons. Head coach Chris Little also has 19 wins in his first two seasons at the helm of the program, one shy of tying Rob Brewer (1988-95) for the most for a coach in school history in their first two seasons.
• Senior James Brace scored the lone goal in the Phoenix’s 1-0 win versus the Bison on Saturday, tying the team-lead with his fourth on the year. The score was also the 20th overall in his career, which is just outside to the top-10 on the program’s all-time career list.
• Elon has a Colonial Athletic Association road showdown at UNCW on Wednesday, Oct. 14, before hosting James Madison on Saturday, Oct. 17, for Homecoming. The program will also host its annual alumni game on Saturday morning.

Men’s Tennis
Elon at ITA Carolina Regionals, Oct. 16-19, Cary, N.C.

• Robert Lindgren led the way for the Phoenix at the Elon Fall Invitational, finishing undefeated in the top flight and top position in singles. He claimed the singles tournament championship, earning 12 points.
• Mario Paccini finished second in singles going undefeated in the number two position with 10 points in the second flight.
• Felipe Osses-Kong also finished undefeated in singles playing at the number five position.

Volleyball (3-17, 0-7 CAA)
Elon at William & Mary, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., Williamsburg, Va.

• Elon closed out a five-match home stand over the weekend and plays its lone match of the week on the road at William & Mary on Saturday evening.
• The Tribe holds the all-time advantage in the series, 4-2, with the Phoenix claiming the win in the last meeting, 3-2, on Oct. 31, 2014. The victory also marked the CAA win in program history for the maroon and gold.
• Last week, Sydel Curry recorded 120 assists in three matches to average 10.9 assists per set. She posted a new career-high 46 assists against College of Charleston before tallying a new three-set career-high 34 assists against UNCW. On defense, Ally Karle posted 13 total blocks to average 1.3 blocks/set for the Phoenix.

Women’s Golf
Elon at the Pinehurst Challenge, Oct. 12-13, Pinehurst, N.C.

• The Elon Phoenix looks to earn its third consecutive top-three finish at a tournament this fall season at the Pinehurst Challenge this week.
• The third place finish for the Phoenix at the Lady Pirate Invitational was the team’s second consecutive top-three finish this season and third straight since the 2015 CAA Women’s Golf Championships.
• Kelsey Badmaev earned her first top-10 finish of the season after finishing in the top-10 five times last season.

Women’s Soccer (9-3-2, 1-2-1 CAA)
Elon at Delaware, Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m., Newark, Del.
Elon at Drexel, Sunday, Oct. 18, at 12 p.m., Philadelphia

• Elon went 2-1 this past week earning a 6-0 road win at Francis Marion (Oct. 6), and bouncing back from a loss to UNCW with a 2-0 victory over College of Charleston on Sunday for its first CAA win of the season on Senior Day.
• The Phoenix secures another winning season, improving to 9-3-2 overall for the season. They are now fighting for a place in the CAA tournament, in which the top-six in the conference qualify.
• A four-match road swing awaits the Phoenix the next two weekends. The first weekend includes trips to Delaware (Oct. 16) and Drexel (Oct. 18).

Women’s Tennis
ITA Carolina Regionals, Oct. 22-26, Chapel Hill, N.C.

• Erica Braschi and Kamilla Beisenova went a perfect 3-0 in doubles play at the Wake Forest Invitational claiming the Flight D Doubles crown. They lost a total of three games in three matches to win the D doubles flight title.
• Braschi and Beisenova’s flight win marks the second straight event that a Phoenix pairing has won a doubles flight. Casey and Zenoni captured a doubles title at the Elon Invitational Sept. 13.
• The Phoenix heads to Chapel Hill for its next two events, first for the ITA Carolina Regionals Oct. 22-26 and later for the Kitty Harrison Invitational Nov. 6-8.
