Chris Pauling(High Point Andrews HS) named MEAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week and N.C. A&T Aggies among top performers

SC STATE’S PAULING AND JAMISON EARN MEAC TOP WEEKLY AWARDS

NORFOLK, Va.,- – Redshirt freshman Lynard Jamison was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Special Team Player of the Week, while teammate Chris Pauling earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors the conference announced.

Pauling (DB, 5-10, 185, Sr., High Point, N.C./High Point Andrews High School) picked off two passes, one he returned 42-yards for a touchdown, in a win over Howard. He also registered two solo tackles.

Other Top Performers
Tarik Cohen (NCAT) rushed for 116 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown against Bethune-Cookman. Also he caught five passes for 29 yards in the team’s victory.

Julius Reynolds (NCAT) posted seven tackles, five solo, with 2.0 for a loss and one forced fumble against Bethune-Cookman.

Brandon Parker (NCAT) finished with four pancake blocks, and posted a grade of 87-percent, as he led the offensive line that accounted for 157 yards on the ground.

Steven Sawicki (NCAT) punted six times for an average of 39.5 yards per punt with four inside Bethune-Cookman’s 20-yard line, including a long of 48-yards.
