Watt Named Division III Men’s Soccer National Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has named Greensboro College’s Shaun Watt the NCAA Division III National Player of the Week.

Watt, a junior forward from Montreal, Québec, helped lead the Pride to a 3-0 mark in USA South Athletic Conference play during the week while recording five goals.

In a 1-0 win over Covenant, Watt scored the match’s only goal in the 65th minute. In a 4-3 victory over Maryville, Watt notched the game-winner in the 81st minute. Finally, in a 4-1 win over Piedmont, Watt tallied a hat trick with three goals.

Watt, who leads the USA South Athletic Conference in goals with 19, is the first Pride men’s soccer player to receive this honor.
