ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Greensboro College men’s soccer team claimed their second consecutive USA South Athletic Conference regular season title Wednesday.

The Pride (12-4-1, 9-0-1 USA South) defeated the Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan 3-0.

In a matter of five minutes following Watt’s goal, Joel Cortez and Tre Bailey was able to find the back of the net to give Greensboro the 3-0 victory.

“It was an emotional game for both teams today as it was also Wesleyan’s senior day,” Head Coach Tony Falvino said. “Both teams came out with a lot of intensity. I am proud of the way the boys responded in the second half. We are looking forward to hosting on Saturday.”

Shaun Watt recorded a team-high seven shots. Carlos Barragan accounted for four shots, while Mike Tzablas, Joel Cortez, and Trey Bailey each recorded one shot. Jamie Payamps stopped five shots in goal to earn the victory.
