At the Western Guilford baseball field tonight at 6:30 PM there will be a very special announcement. Western Guilford will be introducing the Hornets new Varsity Baseball Head Coach, Matthew Wood. Coach Wood has been an assistant here for the last 12 years and been a key part of their program winning 6 conference championships and making a regional final appearance during that time. Coach Wood will do a great job but he needs the WG Hornet support as he begins to build his staff and meet with the players.
*****Coach Jones, Coach Stell, Coach Causey and now Coach Wood…Lots of years of Western Guilford Baseball, but a small group, a chosen few, have been at the helm of the Hornets over the years, dating back to around 1968-1968…..*****
