Full preview Nov. 21
Head coach: Brandon Clifford
2014-15 record: 19-14
Star watch: Edrice “Bam” Adebayo (6-9, 250, Sr., PF/C)
Breakdown: Watch out if the integration of Adebayo goes well. “Bam” averaged over 32 points and 20 rebounds per game as a junior at tiny Northside (Pinetown, N.C.) before making the jump to HPCA over the summer. Amidou Bamba (6-7, 235, Sr., PF), Ty Graves (5-11, 175, Sr., PG) and Ben Robertson (6-5, 195, Sr., SG) give Clifford three other Division I-bound talents in the senior class.

Looks like local private schools such as High Point Christian and Wesleyan are out recruiting in all sports now- especially the big 3. Football, basketball and baseball. Turning into a sports academy. Wesleyan has the soccer program in place of HPCA football program dominance. Then again maybe that’s the best route for high school athletes now if they can afford the tuition , so they can be seen and play on a national stage. Them and Wesleyan seem to be getting a lot of kids in college and playing at the next level. Is Oak Hill playing High Point Christian or Wesleyan this year in basketball?
