Cross Country
Elon at NCAA Southeast Regionals, Friday, Nov. 13, Charlottesville, Va.

• The Phoenix programs travel to Charlottesville, Va., for the NCAA Southeast Regional meet on Friday, Nov. 13. Last season, the women had its highest finish ever at the regional meet with an eighth-place standing.
• Both the men’s and women’s teams are coming off third-place performances at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship meet on Oct. 31. On the women’s side, Kimberly Johansen was sixth overall with her time of 20:58.0 – the second-fastest time in school history.
• Elon’s Nick Ciolkowski became the second straight Phoenix runner on the men’s side to win the CAA individual championship with his performance at the league meet. The Fairport, N.Y., native clocked in the second-fastest time in school history in the 8K race with a time of 24:22.3 and was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet.

• Elon will play its final road game of the year when it travels farther north than it ever has for a football contest this Saturday at Maine.
• Against William & Mary, quarterback Connor Christiansen threw for a career-high 310 yards, while linebacker Corey Mitchell posted his sixth double-digit tackle performance of the year with 12 total stops. Mitchell now has a conference-leading 100 total tackles.
• The Phoenix held the Tribe to just 149 rushing yards, over 75 yards below its average. William & Mary entered the game with a 100-yard rusher in 13 consecutive games, but saw that streak snapped.

Men’s Basketball
Elon at Charlotte, Friday, Nov. 13, at 8:30 p.m., Charlotte (American Sports Network)

• Elon opens the 2015-16 regular season on Friday, Nov. 13, on the road against the Charlotte 49ers. The game will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. and will be broadcasted on American Sports Network.
• The Phoenix opened the season with a 95-73 exhibition win over William Peace in Alumni Gym last Thursday. Elon is now 8-0 in exhibition games under head coach Matt Matheny. Dainan Swoope finished with a game-high 23 points for Elon against the Pacers.
• The Phoenix is coming off a 2014-15 season finishing 15-18 overall and 6-12 in tits inaugural season in the CAA. Tanner Samson set the single-season school record with 103 three-pointers made last season.

Men’s Soccer (13-5)
CAA Championships
No. 2 Elon vs. No. 3 Delaware, Friday, Nov. 13, at 4:30 p.m., Hempstead, N.Y.

• The second-seeded Phoenix opens postseason play with a match versus third-seeded Delaware in the semifinal round of the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Soccer Tournament. Last season, Elon lost in the quarterfinal round of the CAA Championships.
• This will be the second meeting of the year against the Blue Hens for the Phoenix. Elon earned a 1-0 victory during the regular-season at Delaware, who was tabbed as the league preseason favorite.
• With a victory over Delaware, Elon advances to the championship match on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m. to play against the winner between No. 1 seed Hofstra and No. 5 seed and defending CAA Tournament champion James Madison.

Volleyball (6-22, 2-12 CAA)
Elon vs. Hofstra, Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym
Elon vs. Northeastern, Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m., Alumni Gym (Senior Day)

• The Phoenix played its two road matches of the regular season this past weekend, suffering defeats at both College of Charleston and UNCW.
• Elon closes out the regular season this weekend at home with matches against Hofstra and Northeastern.
• Sunday’s match against the Huskies marks Senior Day for the program’s three seniors – Megan Gravley, Catherine Head and Ana Nicksic.

Women’s Basketball
Elon vs. Lenoir-Rhyne, Saturday, Nov. 14, 2 p.m., Alumni Gym

• The Elon defense looked strong in the team’s 70-27 exhibition win against Winston-Salem State on Sunday. The maroon and gold tallied 16 steals in the game and converted 32 WSSU turnovers into 26 points en route to the 43-point victory.
• Jenifer Rhodes led the way with a double-double after 12 points and 10 rebounds. Josepha Mbouma finished with 11 points and six steals, while Shay Burnett had nine points, five boards and three assists.
• The Phoenix officially opens the 2015-16 season on Saturday against visiting Lenoir-Rhyne in Alumni Gym.

Women’s Tennis
Fall Season Complete

• Elon concluded the fall season of competition at the Kitty Harrison Invitational this past weekend at Duke University.
• Taylor Casey and Suzanne Zenoni each went 2-0 in singles play with wins against UNC Wilmington and Maryland.
• Olivia Lucas posted a 2-1 singles mark, as the sophomore beat players from Davidson and UNCW. The pairing of Lucas and Zenoni went 2-0 in doubles with wins against Rice and East Carolina.
