Elon Leads the Way in NCAA First-Round Mens Soccer Attendance

ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men’s soccer team hosted the Winthrop Eagles on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Rudd Field in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship, as the Phoenix came away with a thrilling 3-0 victory. A total of 2,419 fans packed the fence and stands at Rudd Field, making Elon’s match the most highly attended NCAA first-round match in the nation.

The Phoenix advances to the second round of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship to face second-seeded Clemson on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. in Clemson, S.C.
