  1. Who said Northern would lose in the 1st Round? Northern head to Regional Finals again. Johnny Roscoe knows how to WIN

  2. How about those Nighthawks? And Johnny Roscoe gets his 300th career win! That ole ball coach knows how to win!

  3. I will always pull for the Nighthawks , every sense they rocked the Gold stripe on the helmet in support of my Dudley Panthers last year.

  4. Farewell, why you got to be so salty? Give credit where credit is due. Johnny Roscoe has 300 wins and that is LEGENDARY. That is rare air no matter how you try to slice it!

  5. I have been pretty hard on old Roscoe over the years. I still think some of those titles are tainted. I will say this If he wins a championship with this team of rejects this year he deserves to be coach of the year in this state! Either that or the 3AA flat out sucks! LOL had to get that in there. As much as it pains me to say…Good Job Northern and your horrible horrible fans. HAHA!

  6. @Farewell…it’s about how you finish. And Northern isn’t finished. They are on to the 4th round. So yeah, they might have come in 4th in the conference, but looks like that are getting it done now, where other teams haven’t. I’m not a northern fan. But again, they are still playing. What’s better, 2nd or 3rd in league play with your season over? Or 4th with your season still rolling, with a chance to win the state title? Honestly, Morehead and western have nothing to be ashamed of, but I’ll take still playing over being done anytime.

  7. Another coach breaking a record tonight. Coach Willert won his 100th game as a head coach at East Forsyth. Man I hope East can somehow pull off the upset of all upsets next week against Mallard Creek cause I would love to see a Page East rematch for the Title! Go Eagles Go Pirates!!!

  8. No Question East Forsyth is loaded this year for sure but the biggest pickup in my opinion was for them to land Coach Beal from NWG. My son played DB at NW under Woodruff and Coach Beal for 4 years and he’s a great defensive mind and an even better person. I hate we let him get away at NW but I’m glad to see that he’s having so much success at East! Good Luck Coach Beal and East Forsyth! Go get that Ring!!!

  9. I wanted to start this by ripping “just sayin” a new one, however I have better things to do with my time. My son plays for Northern and we could not be prouder of him, the players, the coaches and the fans. He takes several AP classes, is an honor roll student, a seven time academic all conference player in 2 varsity sports. In addition he volunteers for the Special Olympics, Salvation Army and is participates in Young life. A “reject” he is not. Congratulations to Dudley, Page and Northern, to have 3 teams representing Guilford Co., in the 4th round is fantastic. March on boys, March on!

  10. Great job Dudley Panthers!!!!!! The first half was a little slow (hopefully just a Turkey Day hangover) The boys finished the game off big last night!!! What a Defense!!!

Big shout out to Page defeating Richmond County, thats a big win!!!!

Not familiar with the Northern program but best of luck to the Nightgawks!!!!

  11. not only is just satin a hater, he/she/it is a person of poor character. To call high school athletes rejects is just a sign of the persons character. I know why you used the word reject. …it relates to the two kids that left your school and went to NG. Good move for them cause they practiced on thanksgiving and your school did not. they are still playing and contributing and your program has turned in their uniforms and are now playing basketball or video games wondering of the what ifs. So many people attack these kids when they should go after the adults or parents but that would actually take some courage.

  12. Guys Guys Guys Relax! I’m giving you props on how you’re winning with less talent than ever. Roscoe can make Chicken Salad out of Chicken you know the rest! I saw yall play Page and there is no way I thought that team with out Hord could win a Championship and dang it if Roscoe ain’t going to do it again. If he would have stayed at Northern you would have won the one yall lost with the other guy. HE’S THE KING OF JV (3A) HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!

  13. @ first time Panther Parent… if you are a first time Panther parent I’m assuming your kid transferred from another school…the main reason Dudley is so disliked. If that’s not the case, my apologies.

  14. @ John D. You know what they say happens when you assume. But to satisfy your inquiring mind we live right off of Willow Rd. When I say that I am a “1st Time Panther Parent” I am talking about the awesome Dudley Football Program. My son is a sophomore and until this summer has never shown an interest in playing football. My wife and I thought that since he’s never played that he may get some garbage time at the end of games since he’s coming so late to the party. However two days before the Carver game he was promoted to the Varsity squad and has started every game this season.

Coming into this season I had heard of the “Dudley Hate” and the “Dudley Bias” and as much as I didn’t want to believe that it exists, it is very real and I’ve seen it manifest itself at games, in the local media, and especially on this websites message boards.

As a parent, and a coach myself I try to be supportive and respectful to all of our local student athletes; their families; and their schools.

As adults/parents throwing shade, playing the blame game, and passive aggressive sh*t talk should really be beneath us all.

Thank you Andy Durham and company for the creation of this site. You make a very valiant effort to stay objective and show support to the student athletes of this area at all levels.

  16. @ Viking Sayin

Do you want some sort of award for being undefeated against NW Guilford? They lost to SW Guilford and you guys at Northern act like that’s an accomplishment! NW Finished almost last in their conference this year behind HP,EF,SW. You should beat NWG you have better players. Truth is NW should be a 3A team cause they have 3A Talent. Enjoy your JV (3A) Championship. It’s like winning a Division 2 National Championship. It’s cool and all but nobody really cares when the Big Boys play for the BCS Championship. Just Sayin….
