Men’s Basketball (3-3)
Elon vs. Kennesaw State, Monday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym
Elon at FIU, Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m., Miami

• Tanner Samson became the 39th player in program history to reach 1,000 points in a career against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday night. He is also 11 made three pointers away from becoming Elon’s all-time leader in made treys.
• The Phoenix finished 1-1 during the Battle 4 Atlantis Sub-Regional tournament in Alumni Gym, Nov. 26-27, defeating Mount St. Mary’s 79-74 on Thursday and falling to the Islanders 85-81 on Friday.
• Freshman Dainan Swoope was named CAA Rookie of the Week on Nov. 23 after averaging 12.7 points per game in three games against No. 24 Michigan, Belmont Abbey, and Syracuse.

Women’s Basketball (4-2)
Elon at Furman, Saturday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m., Greenville, S.C.

• The Phoenix posted a 50-38 victory over East Tennessee State on Sunday in Alumni Gym to improve to 4-2 on the season. The defense tallied 17 total team blocks, marking the most blocks by a Division I team in a game this season and setting a new CAA single-game team record.
• Last week, Shay Burnett was named the CAA Player of the Week after averaging 19.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 30.7 minutes per game. The sophomore went 14-of-29 from the field to shoot 48.3 percent, including two three-pointers, and went 28-of-32 from the charity stripe for an 88 percent mark.
• Elon plays its only game of the week on Saturday at former Southern Conference foe Furman. The two played a non-conference game on Dec. 29 of last year with the Phoenix claiming a 81-71 victory in Alumni Gym.

Women’s Track and Field
Elon at JDL Kickoff Classic, Saturday, Dec. 5, Winston-Salem, N.C.

• The Phoenix women’s track and field team opens its 2015-16 indoor campaign on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the JDL Kickoff Classic at the JDL Fast Track Complex.
• This is the first of four indoor meets this year that Elon will compete at in the JDL Fast Track Complex.
• Elon returns all 10 of its athletes that earned a spot in the Phoenix’s first season at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championships a year ago. Elyse Bierut, Shelby Cuddeback, Emily Dixon, Jen Esposito, Sydney Griffin, Bryanna Hames, Megan Kirschling, Kimberly Johansen, Tereza Novotna and Bre’anna Warren are back to don the maroon and gold this season.
