College Women’s Swimming Results – Guilford Completes First Day of Yellow Jacket Invitational

RICHMOND , Va. – Guilford College’s women’s swimming team competed in the first day of the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jacket Invitational Friday at the Collegiate School Aquatic Center.

The Quakers did not score in the opening day. Washington and Lee University opened a commanding 95-point lead over Franklin & Marshall College among the 10 scoring teams through 10 events.

Guilford’s Isabel Gutierrez placed 44th in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of two minutes, 43.987 seconds. Teammate Nina Troy was disqualified in the same event.

The Quakers’ Peri Thompson claimed a 71st-place result in the 50 freestyle with a time of 39.82 seconds.

The meet concludes Saturday with a morning and afternoon session.
