Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Lexington Boys Basketball:Tre Turner/Jalen Spicer lead Vikings, while Rakes, Hennigan and Gore add more

NORTHWEST GUILFORD 84, LEXINGTON 52

GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Lexington battled back and forth during an entertaining 1st quarter until the Vikings were able to establish control and ended the quarter at 29-14 and finished with an 84-52 victory over the Yellow Jackets. The Vikings continued to apply pressure throughout the game and forced a number of turnovers that lead to instant offense. Northwest finished the game with 23 assists on 34 field goals.
–Tre Turner led Northwest with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals and Jalen Spicer had a solid game with 18 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals.
–Jaylen Gore and Matt Rakes both contributed 13 points for Northwest. Thomas Hennigan also stuffed the stat sheet with 6 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals along with tremendous effort on both ends of the floor that set the tone for the Vikings.
Marquise Jordan led the scoring for the Yellow Jackets with 14 points. Cameron Peoples and Stefon Moore added 10 and 9 points respectively for Lexington.
