The Cowboys took the short drive over to face off against familiar city rivals of Andrews High School. Just 2 weeks ago Southwest took the 11th matchup in a row.

The Red Raiders came into tonight’s contest looking to put an end to that streak as well as knock the Cowboys off the undefeated podium for the season.

The Cowboys came out strong opening up a 6–0 lead with 6:06 on the clock. The red Raiders responded with an 8–0 run of their own to go up 8-6 4:10 on the clock. Southwest then went on a 12–0 run but a red raider bucket right before the buzzer put the tally at 18-10.

The second quarter was ugly on all accounts as neither team could do anything well. Southwest managed back to back baskets to close out the half 27–17.

The second half opened with the Red Raiders taking control and out hustling the Cowboys to cut the lead down to two 40–38 with only 30 seconds in the quarter. A late three-point play put the score at 43–38 headed into the fourth.

In the final frame Southwest finally started to hit on all cylinders blitzing the Red Raiders pushing the margin until the final buzzer at 75–52. Cowboys remain perfect on the season 8–0.

Red Raiders were led by Codee Jones with 26. Southwest was paced by Keyshaun Langley (20, 9 Rebs, 4 Stls, 3 Ats), Kobe Langley (18 2 Rebs, 2 Asts), Kameron Langley (14, 6 Asts, 5 Rebs), and Kaymon Mitchell’s double double 12, 12 Rebounds.
