Fall 2015 Wells Fargo Conference Cup Standings Announced

Wells Fargo, along with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, has announced the final standings in the Wells Fargo Conference Cup competitions for the 2015 fall sports season.

The Wells Fargo Cup award, sponsored by Wells Fargo and the NCHSAA, recognizes the schools that achieve the best overall interscholastic athletic performance within each of the state’s four competitive classifications.

The Wells Fargo Conference Cup is a companion to the Wells Fargo Cup and recognizes schools with the best overall interscholastic athletic performances within individual conferences. Wachovia, and now Wells Fargo, has sponsored the conference awards program since 1980.

In most conferences, points are awarded based on participation and standings in conference play. Each conference determines its own method of awarding points. Conferences are listed alphabetically by classification.

Class 1-A Conference Results

Carolina 1-A: With a sweep of the cross country titles and second-place finishes in volleyball and men’s soccer, Rosewood leads the conference after the fall season. Lakewood is second, with a first-place finish in football and third in volleyball. Hobbton holds third place, with a second-place finish in men’s and women’s cross country and third in men’s soccer. Conference Standings: Rosewood 35, Lakewood 29, Hobbton 24.5, Princeton 21.5, James Kenan 18.5, North Duplin 18, Spring Creek 14, Neuse Charter 2.5.

Central Tar Heel 1-A: North Moore comes out on top this fall with a championship in women’s cross country, a runner-up position in men’s soccer, and a third-place finish in football. Chatham Central takes second place ,with championships in men’s cross country and volleyball. In third is West Montgomery. with a championship in football and a second-place finish in women’s cross country. Conference Standings: North Moore 240, Chatham Central 210, West Montgomery 202.5, South Davidson 192.5, East Montgomery 185, Chatham Charter 170, Uwharrie Charter 115.

Coastal 10 1-A: Camden County takes the lead after the fall with championships in volleyball and soccer, and a second place finish in football. Second place goes to Manteo, with a first place finish in soccer and third in football. Third place in the conference goes to Gates County, which finished third in volleyball. Coastal Plains 1-A: East Carteret is the frontrunner after the fall season, with league titles in football and volleyball. Not far behind is Lejeune in second, with a sweep in the men’s and women’s cross country championships. Bear Grass Charter is third overall, with top finishes in women’s tennis and men’s soccer. North Central Athletic Conference 1-A: With a first-place finish in women’s tennis, both men’s and women’s cross country and a second-place finish in men’s soccer, Raleigh Charter owns the top spot in the conference. Not far behind is Franklin Academy, taking first in men’s soccer and second in men’s cross country and women’s tennis. Voyager Academy is third, finishing second in volleyball and third in women’s tennis. Northwest 1-A: Bishop McGuinness sits atop the conference after the fall season, with top finishes in men’s soccer, women’s cross country and women’s tennis. In second place is Walkertown, with first-place finishes in men’s cross country while taking second in both football and women’s cross country. Mount Airy is in third, with top finishes in volleyball, women’s golf, and a shared title with Bishop McGuinness for men’s soccer. Conference Standings: Bishop McGuinness 34.5, Walkertown 33, Mt. Smoky Mountain 1-A: Swain County jumps out in front of the field this fall, with a first-place finish in men’s and women’s cross country and second place in football. Murphy and Hayesville are neck and neck in second place. Murphy had third-place finishes in football and men’s and women’s cross country, while volleyball was the top finish for Hayesville. Southern Piedmont 1-A: With league championships in football, volleyball and men’s cross country, Community School of Davidson holds first place after the fall sports season. Pine Lake Preparatory sits in second, thanks to a conference title in women’s cross country and a runner-up finish in football. Third place belongs to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, with a men’s soccer conference championship. Conference Standings: Community School of Davidson 85, Pine Lake Preparatory 78, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy 68, Highland School of Technology 66, Lincoln Charter 64, Mountain Island Charter 50, Bessemer City 49, Cherryville 44.

Tar Roanoke 1-A: Granville Central is able to take the top spot after the fall with a championship in football, men’s soccer, and a tie for first in volleyball. While tying with Granville Central on volleyball and taking the runner-up spot for men’s soccer, Louisburg sits in second place. KIPP Pride is third, thanks to a third-place finish in football. Conference Standings: Granville Central 16.5, Louisburg 11.5, KIPP Pride 8, Southeast Halifax 7, Oxford Prep 7, Weldon 6, Northwest Halifax 3.

Two Rivers 1-A: Riverside of Martin County sits atop the conference after the fall season, with top finishes in women’s tennis, women’s golf, volleyball and men’s and women’s cross country. Second place belongs to Tarboro, which took home the titles in men’s soccer and football, while South Creek holds third with a runner-up finish in volleyball. Conference Standings: Riverside (Martin) 22, Tarboro 17, South Creek 12, North Edgecombe 6, Northampton 4, Rocky Mount Preparatory 4.

Uwharrie Athletic 1A: The first-place position for the fall is shared between Gray Stone Day and North Stanly. Gray Stone Day earned conference championships for men’s and women’s cross country and women’s tennis, along with a second-place finish in volleyball. North Stanly won a championship for football and took second in men’s cross country and women’s tennis. In third place, Union Academy finished the fall with a first-place finish in men’s soccer and a second-place finish in women’s cross country. Conference Standings: Gray Stone Day 135, North Stanly 135, Union Academy 112.5, South Stanly 100, Queens Grant 72.5, Albemarle 50.

Class 1-A/2-A Conference Results

Four County 1-A/2-A: Clinton is the frontrunner in the conference after the fall sports season, thanks to first-place finishes in men’s and women’s cross country, tennis, volleyball, and men’s soccer. Midway, which edged out Wallace Rose-Hill and Pender for second, had second-place finishes in women’s cross country and volleyball. Wallace-Rose Hill and Pender tied for third place in the Cup standings. Wallace-Rose Hill finished with a league title in football and a runner-up title in soccer. Conference Standings: Clinton 58, Midway 32, Wallace-Rose Hill 31.5, Pender 31.5, East Bladen 28, Union 27, West Bladen 18, Heide Trask 12.

Mountain Valley 1-A/2-A: With championships in football and women’s cross country and a second-place finish in women’s tennis, East Wilkes earned the top spot in the conference after the fall season. Ashe County beat out Wilkes Central for second, thanks to league titles in men’s cross country, women’s golf and a second-place finish in soccer. Third-place Wilkes Central took first in soccer and second in women’s golf. Conference Standings: East Wilkes 45, Ashe County 42, Wilkes Central 34.5, West Wilkes 30, Starmount 28, Elkin 26.5, Alleghany 24, North Wilkes 19.

Three Rivers 1-A/2-A: With a solid fall season, Whiteville sits on top of the conference, thanks to first-place finishes in men’s soccer and women’s tennis along with a first-place tie in football with Fairmont and South Columbus. Fairmont and South Columbus are tied for second place, with Fairmont earning second in volleyball and its first place tie in football, while South Columbus came out with a first-place finish in volleyball and its share of the football title. Conference Standings: Whiteville 33.3, Fairmont 30.3, South Columbus 30.3, St. Pauls 27, Red Springs 23, East Columbus 17, West Columbus 14, South Robeson 12.

Western Highlands 1-A/2-A: Hendersonville leaps out in front of the pack after the fall season, with championships in football, women’s tennis, women’s golf and women’s cross country. The Bearcats also had runner-up titles in men’s soccer, men’s cross country and volleyball. Avery County and Polk County are tied for second in the Cup standings. Avery County had second-place finishes in women’s tennis and women’s golf. Polk County earned conference titles in men’s soccer, men’s cross country and volleyball. Conference Standings: Hendersonville 83, Avery County 63, Polk County 63, Mountain Heritage 61, Charles D. Owen 54.5, Madison 41, Mitchell 35.5.

Class 2-A Conference Results

Central Carolina 2-A: Salisbury is the conference leader this fall, with three first-place finishes including women’s tennis, men’s cross country, and men’s soccer along with second place in women’s golf. First- place finishes in women’s golf, women’s cross country, and volleyball and third-place finishes in men’s cross country and women’s tennis have West Davidson sitting in second in the standings. East Davidson is third, finishing second in men’s and women’s cross country, and third in women’s golf and volleyball. Conference Standings: Salisbury 61, West Davidson 58, East Davidson 54, Lexington 38, North Rowan 34, Thomasville 29.

East Central 2-A: Croatan leads the conference for the fall season with championships in men’s and women’s cross country and volleyball, along with a second-place finish in football and women’s tennis. In second place is East Duplin, thanks to runner-up finishes in volleyball, football and men’s cross country. Right behind East Duplin in third place is Dixon, aided by championships in women’s tennis and men’s soccer. Conference Standings: Croatan 61, East Duplin 57, Dixon 56.5, North Brunswick 46.5, Northside 45.5, Southwest Onslow 39.5.

Eastern Carolina 2-A: The top spot currently belongs to North Lenoir after the fall sports season, with top finishes in women’s cross country and first-place ties in men’s soccer and volleyball. Greene Central, in second overall, had top finishes in women’s tennis and shared the men’s soccer crown with North Lenoir. Greene Central also took second in football. South Lenoir holds third ,with a top performance in volleyball and shares the men’s cross country title with North Lenoir. Conference Standings: North Lenoir 270, Greene Central 260, South Lenoir 220, Ayden-Grifton 185, Goldsboro 145, Kinston 135.

Eastern Plains 2-A: Washington takes the number-one spot in the conference after the fall, thanks to a championship in men’s soccer and ties for first in football and women’s tennis. Second place belongs to North Pitt, with a championship in men’s cross country and a share of the title in volleyball. Beddingfield secures third place, aided by a share of first in women’s tennis. Conference Standings: Washington 31, North Pitt 27, Beddingfield 21, Farmville Central 18.5, North Johnston 18.5, SouthWest Edgecombe 16.

Mid State 2-A: Carrboro has raced out to the front of the conference with a stellar fall season, finishing first in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s soccer, women’s tennis, and volleyball. Jordan-Matthews takes second place, with runner-up finishes in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s soccer, and women’s tennis. In third place is Bartlett Yancey, with a runner-up finish in volleyball and third place in men’s and women’s cross country. Conference standings: Carrboro 31, Jordan-Matthews 26, Bartlett Yancey 22, Cummings 15, Graham 15, Reidsville 13.

Northeastern Coastal 2-A: First Flight takes control of the conference after the fall season, procuring the top spot with championships in women’s tennis, women’s cross country and men’s soccer. First Flight also finished as the runner-up in men’s cross country and volleyball. Northeastern edges out Currituck to take second, thanks to championships in men’s cross country and football along with a second-place tie for men’s soccer. Third place Currituck tied with Northeastern in men’s soccer and won first place for volleyball. Conference Standings: First Flight 37, Northeastern 32, Currituck County 29, John A. Holmes 24, Hertford County 23, Pasquotank 17, Bertie 7.

Northern Carolina 2-A: North Carolina School of Science and Math takes the number one spot, winning league championships in men’s cross country, women’s tennis, and men’s soccer. Durham School of the Arts holds second with a championship in women’s cross country and runner-up finishes in men’s soccer and women’s tennis. In third sits Bunn with a championship in football and a second-place tie in volleyball. Conference Standings: NCSSM 32, Durham School of the Arts 28, Bunn 26.5, Franklinton 24.5, South Granville, 24, Roanoke Rapids 22.5, Warren County 7, Southern Vance 6.5.

PAC 6 2-A: Randleman and Wheatmore are tied for first place after the fall season. Randleman secured the championship in men’s cross country and had second place finishes in women’s cross country and men’s soccer. Wheatmore secured the championship for volleyball and had second place finishes in women’s tennis and men’s cross country. In third place is Trinity with top finishes in men’s soccer and women’s cross country. Conference standings: Randleman 25, Wheatmore 25, Trinity 21, Providence Grove 18, Eastern Randolph 15.5, High Point T.W. Andrews 14.5.

Rocky River 2-A: With a tight race after the fall season, Central Academy of Technology/Arts comes out on top with championships in men’s and women’s cross country, women’s tennis, and men’s soccer. Mount Pleasant is in second place with a championship in volleyball and a runner-up title in women’s tennis. Third place goes to Parkwood thanks to a second place tie in women’s cross country along with third place finishes in men’s soccer, men’s cross country, and volleyball. Conference Standings: Central Academy 28, Mount Pleasant 26, Parkwood, 21.5, West Stanly 18.5, Monroe 15, Forest Hills 14.

Southern District 7 2-A: It’s a tight race after the fall season, with Maiden holding a small lead over Newton-Conover. Maiden finished on top in women’s tennis, women’s golf, and volleyball. The runner-up, Newton-Conover, won the conference crown in soccer. East Lincoln finished third with conference wins in football and women’s cross country. Conference Standings: Maiden 42, Newton-Conover 39, East Lincoln 34.5, Lincolnton 30.5, West Lincoln 30.5, Bandys 26.5, Bunker Hill 25.5, West Caldwell 16.5.

Western Piedmont Athletic 2-A: Surry Central takes the lead for the fall season with championships in women’s golf, women’s tennis, and a shared title for men’s soccer with Forbush. Forbush is second with a first place finish in women’s cross country and the shared title for men’s soccer. North Surry takes third place with championships in volleyball and men’s cross country. Conference Standings: Surry Central 31.5, Forbush 29, North Surry 26.5, West Stokes 26, South Stokes 22, Carver 11.

Class 2-A/3-A Conference Results

Big South 2-A/3-A: Lake Norman Charter finishes the fall season at the top of the conference with a commanding lead, after strong championship performances in men’s and women’s cross country and women’s tennis along with second place finishes in volleyball and men’s soccer. Forestview is in second place only trailing by one point, due to second place finishes in women’s golf and men’s soccer and third place finishes in volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country and women’s tennis. Ashbrook is in third place with a first place finish in men’s soccer and a second place finish in men’s and women’s cross country. Conference Standings: Lake Norman Charter 79, Forestview 78, Ashbrook 74, Stuart Cramer 68.5, South Point 61, North Gaston 60.5, East Gaston 52, Hunter Huss 40.

South Mountain Athletic 2-A/3-A: Kings Mountain is in front of the pack after the fall season with first place finishes in women’s cross country and women’s tennis. Draughn takes the second-place slot for the fall with conference crowns in volleyball and men’s cross country. Right behind Draughn is Shelby, which had runner-up titles for football and men’s soccer. Conference Standings: Kings Mountain 43, Draughn 38, Shelby 37.5, Crest 34, East Burke 33, R-S Central 30.5, East Rutherford 24.5, Chase 13, Burns 11.5.

Western North Carolina Athletic 2A-3A: With a solid fall performance, West Henderson beats out Smoky Mountain for the top spot, thanks to conference crowns in volleyball and women’s tennis and a second-place finish in football. Smoky Mountain took home the league title in men’s cross country and had a second place finish in women’s cross country. Franklin takes third with a first place finish in football and a second place finish in men’s soccer. Conference Standings: West Henderson 37.5, Smoky Mountain 34, Franklin 32.5, Brevard 25, North Henderson 24.5, Pisgah 23.5, Tuscola 20.5, East Henderson 17.5.

Class 3-A Conference Results

Big 8 3-A: With first-place finishes in women’s tennis, men’s and women’s cross country and men’s soccer, Chapel Hill holds the top spot in the conference after the fall season. Cedar Ridge recorded a first-place finish in volleyball and took second in women’s tennis and men’s soccer to claim the runner-up spot in the Cup standings. Orange is third, thanks to a first-place finish in football and third in men’s and women’s cross country as well as volleyball. Conference Standings: Chapel Hill 32, Cedar Ridge 26.5, Orange 25.5, Northwood 21, J.F. Webb 12, Southern Durham 11.5, Northern Vance 6.5.

Big East 3-A: Rocky Mount scrapes out a lead of half a point over Hunt in the fall Cup standings. . The Gryphons took the lead with championships in football, women’s tennis, and women’s cross country. Hunt had solid performances with championship crowns in volleyball, and men’s soccer. Fike takes third, with a first-place finish in women’s golf and second-place finishes in volleyball, women’s tennis, and men’s soccer. Conference Standings: Rocky Mount 68.5, Hunt 68, Fike 61, Southern Nash 56.5, Northern Nash 49, Nash Central 42.

Cape Fear Valley 3-A: With a spectacular fall season, Terry Sanford leads the conference, taking first place in football, volleyball, and a share of the women’s tennis title with Union Pines. Second place is held by Lee County, which won the women’s golf and men’s soccer championships. In third place, Union Pines won the championships for men’s and women’s cross country and shared the women’s tennis title with Terry Sanford. Conference Standings: Terry Sanford 45, Lee County 39, Union Pines 35, Gray’s Creek 26, Southern Lee 24, Douglas Byrd 12, Westover 10.

Coastal 3-A: West Carteret leads the conference after the fall sports season, with championship performances in men’s and women’s cross country, women’s golf, and volleyball. Jacksonville beats out Swansboro for second, thanks to a strong first place finish in women’s tennis and a runner-up finish in women’s golf. Swansboro is in third, taking the top spot in men’s soccer and a third-place performance in women’s tennis. Conference Standings: West Carteret 40, Jacksonville 34, Swansboro 30.5, Richlands 28.5, White Oak 26, West Craven 19, Havelock 17.

Mid Piedmont 3-A: With a conference crown in women’s tennis and runner-up finishes in men’s and women’s cross country, Ledford jumps out in front of the field after the fall. Asheboro sits at second place, thanks to a championship in volleyball and runner-up finishes in women’s tennis and football. Central Davidson wraps up the fall in third, thanks to sweeping the men’s and women’s cross country championships. Conference Standings: Ledford 34, Asheboro 30.5, Central Davidson 25, Western Guilford 23.5, Southwestern Randolph 22, Southern Guilford 20, North Forsyth 11.

Mid-State 3-A: Northern Guilford leads the conference after the fall, with conference titles in men’s and women’s cross country, volleyball, women’s tennis, and a shared title with Eastern Alamance in men’s soccer. Northern Guilford also took home a runner-up finish in women’s golf. Western Alamance just barely beats out Eastern Alamance for second place. Western Alamance took second in men’s cross country and football and had a tie for third in men’s soccer. Eastern Alamance earned a conference title in football and shared the men’s soccer title to go with a third-place finish in men’s cross country and a third place tie in volleyball. Conference Standings: Northern Guilford 93.5, Western Alamance 79.5, Eastern Alamance 79, Walter M. Williams 75, Rockingham County 72.5, John M. Morehead 62, Dalton McMichael 60.5, Eastern Guilford 58, Northeast Guilford 25.

South Piedmont 3-A: With solid performances in soccer, men’s cross country, and volleyball, Jesse Carson has the lead after the fall sports season. Trailing Carson is Cox Mill, with top finishes in volleyball and women’s golf. Hickory Ridge, in third overall, finished out the fall with a second-place finish in football and third place in volleyball. Southern Carolina 3-A: Marvin Ridge holds off Weddington to finish at the top of the conference in the fall, with top finishes in football, tennis, golf, women’s cross country, and volleyball. Weddington, in second place, had top finishes in soccer, men’s cross country, and tennis. Cuthbertson is in third place, with second place finishes in volleyball and women’s cross country. Conference Standings: Marvin Ridge 337.5, Weddington 37, Cuthbertson 302.5, Piedmont 230, Sun Valley 195, Anson 90.

Two Rivers 3-A: Corinth Holders leads the standings after three fall championships, including volleyball, women’s tennis, and women’s cross country. Second place belongs to Cleveland, which also won three conference titles, including football, men’s soccer, and men’s cross country. Triton holds third place, thanks to second-place finishes in women’s tennis, women’s golf and tying for second in volleyball with Cleveland. Conference Standings: Corinth Holders 72, Cleveland 68.5, Triton 58.5, South Johnston 54.5, Western Harnett 49, Smithfield-Selma 48.5.

Class 3-A/4-A Conference Results

Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A: New Bern beats out J.H. Rose to take first place in the conference after the fall, with conference championships in women’s tennis and second-place finishes in men’s soccer and men’s cross country. J.H. Rose has possession of second, with championships in men’s soccer and volleyball. Rose is followed by D.H. Conley, who sits in third with a championship in football. Conference Standings: New Bern 37, J.H. Rose 33, D.H. Conley 32, C.B. Aycock 31, South Central 19, Southern Wayne 12, Eastern Wayne 12.

Mideastern 3-A/4-A: Hoggard had an excellent fall, claiming the number one spot in the conference with first-place finishes in volleyball, and men’s cross country. Laney holds off New Hanover to take sole possession of second place, winning conference crowns in women’s golf, women’s tennis, and women’s cross country. New Hanover, in third place, took home the conference championship in football. Conference Standings: Hoggard 39, Laney 38, New Hanover 32, Topsail 28.5, Ashley 24.5, South Brunswick 18, West Brunswick 16.

Mountain Athletic 3-A/4-A: T.C. Roberson is in first after the fall, thanks to capturing titles in women’s cross country, women’s tennis and men’s soccer. There is a tie for second place in the Cup standings between A.C. Reynolds and Asheville. A.C. Reynolds finished first in volleyball and football while Asheville won the men’s cross country title. Conference Standings: T.C. Roberson 82, A.C. Reynolds 72, Asheville 72, North Buncombe 57, Enka 55, McDowell 27, Clyde Erwin 27.

North Piedmont 3-A/4-A: Lake Norman finishes the fall sports season out in front with top finishes in women’s tennis, men’s cross country and a second place finish in soccer. Mooresville is in the second spot, with a conference football campioinship and a second-place finish in women’s tennis, while South Iredell is third based on performances in football and volleyball. Conference Standings: Lake Norman 310, Mooresville 260, South Iredell 257.5, Alexander Central 220, North Lincoln 212.5, Statesville 207.5, North Iredell 205, West Iredell 147.5.

Northwestern Athletic 3-A/4-A: Hickory takes the top spot after the fall, securing championships in women’s tennis, women’s golf and women’s cross country. Watauga is second, by only half a point, with a championship in men’s cross country and a second-place finish in women’s tennis. Freedom takes the third-place spot, with championships in football and women’s tennis. Class 4-A Conference Results

All-Metro 4-A: Jumping out in front of the pack, Page finished first in women’s tennis, women’s golf, volleyball, men’s cross country and men’s soccer to go with a runner-up finish in football. Grimsley is second, with a title in women’s cross country, and runner-up finishes in women’s tennis, volleyball and men’s cross country. Third place belongs to Southern Alamance, which took home a runner-up title in men’s soccer and a shared second in women’s golf. Cap 8 4-A: Championships in volleyball, men’s cross country and second-place finishes in women’s tennis, men’s soccer, and women’s cross country procure the top spot for Broughton after the fall sports season. Very close behind is Leesville Road, thanks to championships in women’s cross country, and men’s soccer along with second-place finishes in volleyball and men’s cross country. Millbrook placed third in the conference, thanks to a runner-up finish in football. Greater Neuse River 4-A: Garner is on top thanks to a conference title in football and women’s golf and second-place finishes in men’s soccer and women’s cross country. West Johnston takes second with a volleyball championship and second-place finishes in football and women’s tennis. Clayton solidified third place with league titles in men’s soccer and women’s tennis. MeCKa 4-A: W.A. Hough is in a comfortable position after the fall season, winning league titles in women’s golf, football, volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s tennis and men’s and women’s cross country. Mallard Creek takes second, over A.L. Brown, winning the men’s soccer championship, while third-place A.L. Brown took home a second-place finish for men’s golf and a third place finish for football. Mid-South 4-A: Jack Britt is the frontrunner after the fall with first-place finishes in football, volleyball and women’s tennis to go with finishing second in men’s and women’s cross country, women’s golf, and men’s soccer. Cape Fear holds second place in the Cup standings after taking first place in women’s golf and runner-up finishes in volleyball and women’s tennis. Pine Forest sits at third with a men’s soccer championship and a third-place finish in women’s golf. PAC 6 4-A: Cardinal Gibbons is the frontrunner after the fall with four championships, including women’s cross country, volleyball, women’s tennis and men’s soccer. East Chapel Hill is in second place with a league championship in men’s cross country and a second-place finish in women’s tennis. Charles E. Jordan holds on to the third spot with a second-place finish in volleyball and a third-place finish in men’s soccer. Piedmont Triad 4-A: Sweeping the cross country championships and taking the crowns in volleyball and women’s tennis puts Northwest Guilford in the lead after the fall season. Ragsdale settles for second place, with a top performance in women’s golf and runner-up finishes in women’s tennis and volleyball. Southwest Guilford took home runner-up finishes in men’s and women’s cross country and football, putting it in third place. Conference Standings: Northwest Guilford 33, Ragsdale 27, Southwest Guilford 26.5, High Point Central 22, East Forsyth 21, Glenn 16.5.

SoMeck 8 4-A: In a tussle for the top spot, Charlotte Catholic edges out Providence and Audrey Kell by a point, thanks to taking home first place in football and volleyball and second place in women’s tennis, women’s golf, and men’s soccer. Providence and Audrey Kell are tied for second. Providence took home first-place finishes in men’s and women’s cross country, a second-place finish in women’s tennis and a second place tie in men’s soccer. Audrey Kell finished first in women’s golf, second in volleyball, women’s tennis, women’s cross country, and and tied for second with Providence in men’s soccer. Southeastern 4-A: Pinecrest takes control of the conference after the fall with a dominating performance, taking championships in men’s soccer, volleyball, and women’s golf. Richmond holds on to second place with runner-up finishes in football and men’s soccer. Scotland is in third, thanks to championships in football and men’s cross country. Southwest Wake 4-A: Green Hope is the conference leader after the fall season, capturing the conference championship in women’s cross country and runner-up finishes in women’s tennis and men’s soccer. Apex edges out Panther Creek for second, as Apex took championships in men’s soccer and men’s cross country. Panther Creek is in third place, taking the crowns in women’s tennis and volleyball. Southwestern 4-A: Myers Park takes a comfortable lead after the fall season, thanks to top finishes in both men and women’s cross country, volleyball, women’s tennis and women’s golf. With a share of the championship in football and second-place finishes in volleyball and men’s cross country, Butler beats out Porter Ridge for second place. Porter Ridge had second-place finishes in women’s tennis and women’s golf.
