LOCAL CHEERLEADER TO PERFORM AT THE CITRUS BOWL IN ORLANDO

Gibsonville, NC- Ashlyn Loring from Eastern Guilford High School in Gibsonville, NC is one of more than 300 high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the U.S. at the pre-game performance for the Citrus Bowl.

All-Americans were selected via tryout based on the superior cheerleading or dance skills they showed at camp. Only the top 10% of the cheerleaders and dancers who attended Varsity camps have earned the chance to perform at this caliber.

This will be Ashlyn’s 2nd time performing at the Bowl game. As a senior leader of her cheerleading team this year, she is going to represent her team, school and community. She will be traveling with her family to Orlando on December 27th to prepare for a week of long, group rehearsals. The hours of rehearsals will be well worth the effort when the All Americans perform in front of tens of thousands of fans at this major college football event, televised on ABC. While in town, they will also have the chance to visit Central Florida’s famed theme parks. “I am beyond excited to go back to Orlando, Florida and represent my school once again in the college bowl game. The first trip was an amazing experience but this one is special because it is my senior year. Performing is something I have loved to do ever since I became a cheerleader and this is one of the biggest stages I’ve been on. I am so excited!” -Ashlyn Loring

“Ashlyn is one of the hardest working, most dedicated athletes that we have ever had in our program. She exemplifies Wildcat Pride and leads by example. We are so proud of her commitment and dedication over the past four years with Eastern Guilford Cheerleading. She is a top notch athlete and a great person to go represent us in the Citrus Bowl pre-game performance. Our program is beyond blessed to have athletes like Ashlyn that continue to grow and excel.” – Coaches Amanda Michael and Grace K Jones
