In the opening round of the Sheetz Holiday Classic the Cowboys hosted the Griffin of Oxford Prep.

Southwest came into tonight looking to keep the streak alive as the Griffin were looking for a W to get back to .500. Well, it was all Cowboys tonight. After a sloppy 1:30 of action, Southwest hit the gas pedal to take a 10-0 lead. The Cowboys maintained control from there going up 28-7 at the close of the first quarter.

Southwest kept it going as they pushed it to 49-19 going into the half. The blitz continued as great defensive effort and offensive execution in transition led to more easy scores as it got to 73-29 after the third.

With the mercy rule already in play, the 4th quarter was over in a blink as the Cowboys cruised to a great team win at 86-35.

The Griffin were paced by Drew Medlin with 10 points. Southwest played a great overall game from top to bottom, and were led by; Kameron Langley with (19,11 Rebs, 3 Asts), Keyshaun Langley with (15, 5 Asts, 3 Rebs), and Kaymon Mitchell with (10, 5 Rebs, 2 Asts, 2 Stls). Southwest remains unbeaten on the year and moves on to play Uwarrie Prep tomorrow night at 8pm.
