Coming into tonight’s Piedmont Triad 4A Conference game, both the Tigers of Ragsdale and the Bison of High Point Central were coming off a loss to conference foe NW Guilford in their most recent contests, and both teams were winless thus far in conference play. Tonight was a big game for both teams to help gain traction in the conference race.

Right off the opening tap, Ragsdale would have flashbacks to the start of their previous game, as the Bison dominate the first quarter by going out to an early 11-0 lead and eventually taking a 17 point lead at the end of the quarter. The next three periods were essentially a dead heat, but the slow start once again doomed Ragsdale. The Bison would get the important conference win tonight on the road by the final score of 73-56.

Ragsdale was led by Juniors Greyson Collins with a game-high 24 points and Kyle Watkins with 13 points on the evening. High Point Central placed four men in double figure scoring, led by Jordan Twyman with 18 points.

Ragsdale drops to 9 – 6 overall and 0 – 2 in the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference. High Point Central improves to 8 – 7 overall and 1 – 2 in the conference.
