Men’s Basketball (12-7, 3-3 CAA)
Elon at William & Mary, Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m., Williamsburg, Va.
Elon vs. James Madison, Saturday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym

• Elon split its third consecutive CAA week with a 91-82 loss to UNCW on Thursday, Jan. 14, and a 65-64 come-from-behind victory at College of Charleston on Saturday, Jan. 16.
• Rookies Tyler Seibring and Steven Santa Ana both started on Saturday. It was the first time during Matt Matheny’s tenure and first time since the 2008-09 season that an Elon team started two true freshmen in the same game.
• Coming off a CAA Rookie of the Week honor, Seibring continued his solid play for the Phoenix averaging 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds for the week. He had a game-high 18 points and seven rebounds in Elon’s victory on Saturday at Charleston.

Men’s Tennis (0-2)
Elon vs. North Carolina A&T, Saturday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
Elon vs. Bluefield College (Va.), Saturday, Jan. 23, at 1:30 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center

• Elon faced Duke and NC State, a pair of nationally-ranked ACC opponents, on its season-opening weekend. The Phoenix dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 13 Duke on Jan. 15 and suffered a 5-2 setback to NC State Jan. 17.
• Mario Paccini led the way for the Phoenix against Duke, earning the team’s only point of the match. The Madrid, Spain, native earned a solid first-career dual match singles victory, defeating Duke’s (1-0) ITA No. 102 ranked T.J. Pura, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, at the No. 2 singles position.
• Robert Lindgren and Salvador Mijares earned their first singles wins of the season to earn two points for the Phoenix against NC State.

Women’s Basketball (9-7, 2-3 CAA)
Elon vs. College of Charleston, Friday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym

• The Phoenix dropped both games of its road trip over the weekend, falling at Towson and Drexel.
• Lauren Brown led the maroon and gold on the weekend after hitting six threes in two games and averaging 11.5 points per game.
• Elon returns home to Alumni Gym for its lone remaining game of the week to host longtime conference opponent College of Charleston on Friday, Jan. 22, in a 7 p.m. tip.

Women’s Tennis (0-1)
Elon at Duke, Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 3 p.m., Durham, N.C.
Elon at UNCG, Saturday, Jan. 23, at 12 p.m., Greensboro, N.C.

• The Phoenix opened the 2016 spring season with a 6-1 loss to fourth-ranked North Carolina on Jan. 10 at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
• Erica Braschi earned a point for the Phoenix with a victory at No. 2 singles against the Tar Heels’ Marika Akkerman.

Women’s Track and Field
Elon at UNCG Spartan Team Challenge, Sunday, Jan. 24, Winston-Salem, N.C.

• The Phoenix is back for its third indoor meet of the year inside the JDL Fast Track Complex as Elon competes at the UNCG Spartan Team Challenge on Sunday, Jan. 24.
• Elon began the 2016 calendar year last Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Wake Forest Invitational. The maroon and gold saw a number of its athletes set new personal and school records at the highly competitive meet featuring several of the nation’s top programs.
• Senior Sydney Griffin broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.49, finishing fourth overall. The Marietta, Ga., native bested her previous personal record of 8.53 that she set in the Phoenix’s indoor season-opener at the JDL Kickoff Classic this past December. Jen Esposito captured the title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.17, while rookie pole-vaulter Ellie Bennett cleared the bar at 10’ 10” (3.30m) – the third-best performance in school history.
