Highlights
Elon and William & Mary started the half in a back-and-forth affair, but the Phoenix held a 27-23 lead after a Dainan Swoope triple at the 7:16 mark. Tyler Seibring was on fire to start, scoring 14 of Elon’s first 27 points, nailing 4-of-4 treys from beyond the arc.

After Swoope’s triple, William & Mary responded with a 20-4 run over the next 6:22 to take a 43-31 lead with 47 seconds left in the half.

Dmitri Thompson blocked a William & Mary three, stole the ball, and put in a layup at the buzzer after a Eddy three-pointer. However, the layup was called no good after review and the Phoenix trailed 43-34 at the half.

Elon made it a six-point game 43-37 after a layup by Hairston and a free throw from Seibring to start the half, and brought it within six once more with the Tribe leading 46-40 with 17:41 to go in the half after Thompson completed a three-point play.

The closest the Phoenix would get the rest of the half was with 15:43 remaining cutting the Tribe’s lead to seven, 50-47, after a Seibring triple.

William & Mary continued to hold a good lead, most of the time in double-digits, but with 5:34 remaining, Elon made it a nine-point game 73-64 after a layup by Dawkins. The Tribe eventually pulled away with a 13-3 run over the final 5:34 to take the 89-67 victory over the Phoenix.
