Guilford outscored the Eagles, 24-4, in the final 9:37 of the first half.

The Quakers had a season-high five students in double-figure scoring, paced by Thompson, who also had seven rebounds. Will Freeman added 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds off the bench and fellow reserve Trever Hyatt (Hickory, N.C./East Burke) tallied 12 points, nine in the opening half. Dominique Henderson (Charlotte, N.C./Mallard Creek) also scored 12, thanks to a 3-for-3 effort from three-point range. He has now made his last nine three-point shots.
