Elon Women’s Golf Climbs to Third after Round Two of Eagle Invitational

ESTERO, Fla. – The Elon University women’s golf team made moves on Saturday climbing to third place overall after the second round of the FGCU Eagle Invitational on Feb. 13, at Stoneybrook Golf Club.

The Phoenix, the reigning Eagle Invitational champions, turned in a tie for the second-lowest day two round of 302 (+13) to make the move into third place. Mercer remains in first and have a 13-stroke lead sitting at 18-over par overall.

The Highlights
Heather Munro continues to play well through two days of competition. She finished with a second-round 73 (+1) after shooting a 76 (+4) in the first round. Munro is currently ninth overall in the invidivual standings.

Kelsey Badmaev, Aurelia Hamm and Sunna Vidisdottir each have a two-round score of 153 (+9) and are each tied for 17th individually. Badmaev and Vidisdottir improved on their day-one 77 (+5) with a 76 (+4) in the second round. Emily Brooks has a two-round score of 17-over par (161) after two rounds at the FGCU Eagle Invitational.
