Leading the way for the Falcons were S. Johnson with 9, I Whitfield with 7 and K. Simmons with 6
The Mustangs leading scorers were R. Kargo with 14 and R. Maynard with 4

The Rams were lead in scoring by T. Guinyard’s 20 points, A. Jackson’s 16 and 6 points by J. Malone

*****Both Games came down to the final seconds and everyone got their money’s worth!! Northeast Middle School was proud of all the RAC 5 and was honored to play host to a great tournament!!*****

Girls
Northwest Guilford Middle 27, Jamestown Middle 17
Thalia Carter led NWG with 15 points….Alicia Bradford was the leader for Jamestown with 7 points…
End of 1st Q:NWG 4, Jamestown 0…Halftime:NWG 11, Jamestown 2…End of 3rd Q:NWG 16, Jamestown 9
#10 Carter might be in the starting lineup for the NWG Varsity next season, she can play, but we will have to wait and see and that is under the conditions that she is in the 8th Grade, but like we say, the kid can play and NWG put forth a very good overall team effort and it was a super effort by Jamestown that got them back in the game….
+++++Northwest Guilford girls close the season at (16-0)…NWG Varsity girls currently (25-0)….Good water in the Summerfield, Colfax, Oak Ridge and Stokesdale communities….+++++

Boys from Southwest Middle School:
Kernodle Middle 40, Southwest Guilford 34
Chris Hampton led the Kernodle Cougars with 21 points…Patrick Sullivan added 8 points and Todd Thorpe had 7 for Kernodle…The Southwest Guilford Cowboys were led tonight by Karson Mitchell with 11 points, Jordan Jones had 7 and Miles Taylor added 6 points and Rodney Scott chipped in 5 for SWG…

+++++A few more notes on the SWG-Kernodle Boys Middle School game…
(SWG)Alston Hooker brother of Hendon Hooker(Dudley HS) was in the game for SWG at the point guard spot…#11 Alston Hooker…

from Kernodle Ethan Smith the younger brother of Jake Smith, the quarterback at NWG HS, was in there for the Cougars….
Landry Garris was the big center for Kernodle and his dad coaches(assistant) for the NWG boys basketball team..
Brock Tucker was in there for Kernodle and his sister Bria Gibbs mans the post position for the NWg girls varsity basketball team…Bria was at the game watching her younger brother today….+++++
+++++Some real interesting kids and families represented out there on the basketball court at Southwest Middle School today and good game was had and enjoyed by all….+++++

  1. Southeast wins two great games in the RAC 5 tourney. Both came down to the wire. Southeast won both games by five or so points.

    It is a shame we did not get to see the Southeast girls play against Northwest this year. That would have been a good one.

  2. SE girls has a way of ducking NWG girls, the HS team dropped NWG from their schedule too!!! Had played them previous 3 years!

  3. Maybe we can get the SE vs NW girls to play and the Aycock vs Kernodle boys to play. The conference playoffs this year were great. The county should continue with these playoffs and add the opportunity for each conference champ to play the champ of other conferences. The players and parents had a lot of fun.

  4. I wish they would do a county tournament next year that would be pretty cool just like NCAA tournament. Pick a Host site play all games there or play at the higher seed school until Championship. I also believe Aycock and Kernodle boys played this year with Aycock winning, Aycock was good this year.
