Raymon Pratt, Ben L. Smith High School basketball committed to N.C. A&T today and will attend the Greensboro university and play college basketball for the Aggies and new head coach Jay Joyner….

*****Pratt tells us where it is at and where it will be, and that is N.C. A&T….Raymon very happy that the Aggies retained Jay Joyner and named him as their head coach today/Monday….That was the clincher, when A&T lifted the interim tag, and made Joyner the head coach…*****
+++++Pretty good for Coach Joyner too, to be named the head coach and on the same day, you get a commitment from your first recruit….+++++

Thanks to Coach Clarence Waddell for calling in this info…..

  1. Thought it was Raymon Pratt, not Ramon Pratt. Might want to check that spelling.

  2. Yes, I have seen it as Ramon, Raymond, Raymon all three of those this season and my spell checker just showed Raymon as the incorrect spelling..

For sure will check with MaxPreps….I have always just gone by Ramon, and said it like Ramon, which in turn will sound just like Raymon…I will for sure check on it just as soon as I take care of a few middle school basketball issues…Thanks…

  3. Works for me and got that y in there…Have seen it about three different ways, but MaxPreps is on the money, at least on the schedules, well maybe at on the rosters….I’m not sure if anything is on the money on some days…

Waiting to hear more from Coach Waddell on the Smith softball game….

  4. Another name that often brings some confusion to the Ramon/Raymon Pratt name is the name of former professional baseball player Ramon Martinez…But it all does/do make for interesting conversation…
