Josh Tobias, from Southeast Guilford High School, is the current second baseman for the Lakewood BlueClaws and the Claws(2-12) are headed to Greensboro to take on the Grasshoppers(5-9), beginning Thursday and staying in town Friday, Saturday and Sunday….
A four-game set with the Hoppers vs. the BlueClaws and for Josh Tobias, this will be a Homecoming, as he returns to the Gate City…Josh spent four years at SEG, followed by a four-year stint at the University of Florida and JT led the Gators to the College World Series in 2015…
Josh was the MVP for the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York Penn League last Summer and the Phillies seem to be very happy with the progress that the former SEG Falcon is making in the Philadelphia system, with this season being Josh’s time to stop in on the South Atlantic League…
Josh will bring some steady 2016 numbers to Greensboro, as the young Tobias currently is in the Top Ten in the Sally in batting with his .354 average ranking #7 in the SAL…
To go along with his .354 Avg., Josh has gone 17-48 overall at the plate in 13 games with 6 Runs, 5 Doubles, 1 HR and 10 RBI….
