“Greg’s enthusiasm, passion, and enormous amount of energy will certainly have an immediate impact on our football program,” Galuski said. “He has all of the personal attributes needed to lead and mentor our student-athletes.

“Greg understands and values the importance of being named our head football coach and is committed to making sure our student-athletes will have an excellent collegiate experience. On behalf of our athletic department, I would like to welcome him and his family to our Greensboro College family.”

“It is with great excitement and anticipation that I look forward to serving as the next head coach at Greensboro College,” Crum said. “I want to thank Director of Athletics Bryan Galuski, Assistant Director of Athletics Randy Tuggle, President Czarda, and the entire Greensboro College administration for allowing me the opportunity to become the next head coach at Greensboro College. Football is my passion, and I am excited to share this passion with our players in the hopes that it becomes infectious and motivates us as we move forward and stake our claim in the USA South football conference.

“Family is the cornerstone for all that I am and aspire to be, and it has added great value to my coaching philosophies and how I teach. My family and I are equally excited to join the Pride football family and the Greensboro College community.”

In college, Crum was a four-year defensive-line starter for Worcester State University and was elected a team captain in his junior and senior seasons.

Crum helped lead the Lancers to three ECAC Championship births and two NEFC Championships. For his performance on the field, Crum was inducted into the Worcester State College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005.
