  1. Andy,

Those are very impressive numbers. Where are they transferring to?

A few years ago Barrow always sent in updates? Be nice to have a summary and him thoughts on some of these players.

You do a wonderful job for the Triad local scene..

  2. Watched a few games this season and those 3 local boys were hammering the ball.

  3. Lipke will return for his second season at GTCC in 2016/2017….After that, on to another school…

  4. I agree with you, wow…Limestone got a big time pick up with Orth. He will be a legitimate 2-way guy there. He had an unbelievable season for us this spring.

NCCU also got a game changer in signing Michalski. He will be a force in the middle of that lineup and in the MEAC.

Lipke started off at LR, but transferred to GTCC in January…I will say that I am very happy he did!

Overall, I was very pleased with the progress we made this season as a team and program. This team changed the culture of this program and we are now trending back upwards after a couple of very disappointing seasons. The future is looking very bright once again for the Titans!!!

  5. There’s a lot of good local talent and glad they are playing for Barrow and GTECH. With those numbers, Orth should be drafted and Lipke hitting .463 has to put him up there for all JUCO?

  6. Andy,

I’m also unable to pull up link. There has to be close to 200 teams and finish that high is very impressive

  7. I was able to get when I clicked on and it has Lipke at #9 in the nation in batting and there are all kinds of stats on there….Good site..It worked for me when I clicked, but you may want to type it in separately…

  8. When you click on and if it comes up for you, Just Click On the National Leaderboard…

  9. Lipke set the school single season record for batting average this season. Not to be outdone, Orth set the single season and career school record for HR and RBI.

  10. Andy,

I had some free time this morning and went through some of your posts. Am I missing something? Why is not a separate post? You have top hitter nationally and both broke team records? I feel Barrow should promote his players.

  11. Had the opportunity to coach these 2 players and both are strong character guys. Very proud of their accomplishments!

  12. PT4A…to whom should I promote them? Other colleges? why don’t you ask my players how much I promote them? almost 70 players in 9 years have moved on from GTech to continue their baseball careers at 4 year colleges. I think they would tell you that they get promoted…I KNOW they are more promoted than what they were in high school…by far.

News&Record won’t print our scores or really cover us at all. HPE did ok for a little while. I would do write-ups and game summaries, including box scores, etc and they wouldn’t get published so I stopped wasting my time. Heck, our own publicity department won’t come to our games since they’re on weekends and off campus. It’s pretty frustrating. Andy and Greensborosports.com has really been the only consistent local coverage that we have gotten since our program started.
