  1. Some of these selections r really jokes! Wonder if these people picking these even know anything about baseball and or look at stats and talk to coaches. Not everyone can make it but there r a lot left off that should be there without a doubt! Popularity contest!!

  2. LOL at North Davidson only having two players selected. They’ve got four more that could’ve easily been on there.

Also, no Josh Pike?? I’m a little stunned on that one…

  3. Looks like public schools only and there may a separate group for the private schools…Good job Angel Zarate too from Rockingham County, he is another local kid that we have a lot of in the past 3-4 years and good job by him and I was also looking for a least one of those Northern pitchers on this team, they have 3 pretty good ones up there….

  4. The NCBCA isn’t affiliated with the NCHSAA to my knowledge? I am sure that there r private school coaches from all over the state that r members of the association? Why would there not be an all state under one list? Because you go to a private school means you aren’t recognized? Look at the year the Wesleyan kids had, they had Isenhour, and Patrick Bailey both outstanding players. High Point Christian had several with Brody Lawson, Jos Nifong , Wilkerson , Gesell. Westchester country day. All the Charlotte private schools , Raleigh area. Even public school kids, look at the players like Brandenburg and Caveness at Southern Guilford, how can u leave them off. My point is that it seems that the kids that go to private school seem to get shunned because they go to a private school. My son graduated from public school this year and he has several friends that attend private schools that he has played travel ball with over the years from all over the state. There r some really fantastic ball players out there. If your going to have an all state I think you have to include every school in NC, public or private. Unless when you select it and say this is all state for public school players only or for private school players only. There all high school players in the state of NC -why would it be split? Don’t understand how all this works. Looks like a who’s who contest.
