Green Bay, Wis. – The Northwoods League has announced the roster for the 2016 All-Star Game. The Bullfrogs will send three players to Kenosha to participate in the game. Outfielder’s Marcus Shoemaker (Northwest Guilford HS/Lenoir Rhyne) and Laren Eustace (Indiana) as well as right-handed pitcher Austin Hancock (Lenoir Rhyne) will represent the Bullfrogs. The All-Star game will be played on Tuesday, July 19th at 7:05 p.m. (CST) at Historic Simmons Field.

Marcus Shoemaker earned a spot in the All-Star game by being one of the best hitters in the Northwoods League. He is currently hitting .336 on the season, good for seventh overall. Shoemaker leads the Bullfrogs in seven offensive categories: AB (134), runs (25), hits (45), doubles (7), RBI (19), walks (21), and stolen bases (13).

The All-Star team was chosen in a vote by the 18 member teams of the Northwoods League. Ballots were cast by each team’s field staff and media contacts.

The 2016 Northwoods League All-Star Game festivities will be held on July 18th and 19th in Kenosha, WI. On Monday, July 18th the Home Run Derby at the Harbor will be held at Kenosha Harbor with players hitting homeruns in to Lake Michigan off of the pier. The following day, Tuesday, July 19th, the All-Star Banquet will begin at 11:00 am at Marina Shores. The All Star game itself will begin at 7:05 pm that night at Historic Simmons Field.
