Kernersville defeats Rise Up Baseball of Morganton not once but twice:Edwards and Tuttle get wins/Norris and Shumate pace ‘Dogs offense

The Kernersville Bulldogs defeated Rise Up Baseball of Morganton, NC by scores of 2-1 and 14-4 in CVCL action.

Caleb Edwards got the win in Game One on the mound while Zach Greene earned the save by striking out four of the five men he faced. Kernersville was led on offense by Randy Norris who had three hits and Dawnoven Smith who had two RBI’s.

In game 2, Travis Tuttle picked up the win in relief recording four strikeouts without allowing a hit while Zach Greene retired all three men he faced via strikeout.

Kernersville was led on offense by Kory Shumate who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and RBI while Brandon Ford was 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI.

Kernersville returns to action on Sunday July 24 when they host the Carolina Pirates at 5:00 PM at Glenn High School in a Carolina Virginia Collegiate League Contest.
