Kernersville Bulldogs score quickly and have all they need on Sunday as ‘Dogs top Pirates, 5-1

Kernersville defeated the Carolina Pirates 5-1 in Carolina Virginia Collegiate league action by scoring four quick runs in the first inning highlighted by a two run single from CJ Needam. Braxton Shetley and Harrison Hollis paced the offense with two hits each.

Mathew Hailey fanned 8 hitters picking up the win on the mound and Eric Corlett fanned four picking up the save.

Kernersville will host the Roanoke Rails Monday night at Glenn in a make up game as the regular season ends July 31st.
