GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College men’s soccer team, under second-year Head Coach Tony Falvino, was picked atop the USA South Athletic Conference men’s soccer preseason poll, the conference announced Wednesday.

“We are grateful and humbled to be ranked by our peers to win the conference,” Falvino said. “We still have a lot of work to do with a young team, but we are looking forward to the challenge of another competitive USA South season.”

The Pride won the 2015 USA South regular-season title before falling to Methodist University in the tournament championship. The Pride men finished the season with an overall mark of 14-5-1, while going 9-0-1 in conference play.

Greensboro will look to a strong class of returners to lead the group of 15 newcomers.

The Pride men will open their 2016 schedule on Sept. 2 when they travel to take on the Captains of Christopher Newport University. For more information on Greensboro College men’s soccer, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
