College Volleyball Final – Guilford 3, Salem 0

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Casey Davis put away 11 kills and Tina Eucher added 26 assists in Guilford College’s 3-0 volleyball victory at Salem College Thursday night. The scores of the match were 25-22, 25-11, 25-19.

Guilford (4-2) hit .329 as a team on the night, including .500 in the second game as Guilford had just one error among 11 kills in 20 attempts. The Quakers also served effectively with 12 aces in the three games, three apiece by Davis and Jessica Sheek.

Eucher also picked up a match-high 12 digs, had three blocks and two kills in a solid all-around night. Sheek posted a .600 hitting percentage with eight kills and two errors in 10 attempts. She also had three blocks. Morgan Tompkins added seven putaways on .500 hitting.

Kylie Taffer paced the Spirits (3-3) with 11 kills and six digs. Taylor Moulton added 10 kills, but also had six errors. Hannah Delcamp (22 assists) and Mariah Sharon (13 digs) were other Salem leaders.

The Quakers head to Raleigh, North Carolina, Saturday for matches at William Peace University with Meredith College.
