Hannah Doherty got a lot behind a long-ranged effort in the 29th minute, but Shelden saved the shot from the Phoenix freshman.

With just 33 seconds on the clock, Greene scored a header off a cross from Rebecca Beatty and placed it just past the fingertips of Elon goalkeeper Katelyn Fowler to level the match, 1-1, after 90 minutes.

Just over three minutes into overtime, Greene scored her second of the match 94th minute on breakaway to clinch a 2-1 Charlotte victory. Kelly O’Neil’s through ball found Greene and she slotted the ball into the right corner.
