Elon Women’s Golf Opens Fall Season at Golfweek Program Challenge

PAWLEY’S ISLAND, S.C. – The Elon University women’s golf team kicked off its fall slate today, Sept. 11, at the Golfweek Program Challenge and is tied for 13th after one round at 316 (+32).

Boston College (283) leads the way at 1-under par and Colonial Athletic Association foe James Madison (313) is 12th out of 16 teams.

HIGHLIGHTS
Heather Munro led the way for the Phoenix, sinking a team-high four birdies en route to a solid 2-over par round of 73. Munro is tied for 13th as an individual.

Next for Elon was Kelsey Badmaev, who opened the tournament with a round of 79. The senior is tied for 45th at 8-over par.

Hilda Kristjansdottir checks in at the 58th position after an opening-round 81, and Aurelia Hamm carded an 83, good for a tie for 66th.

Katie Reilly posted a mark of 85 and is tied for 71st at 14-over par.
