Elon Men’s Golf Continues Play at FAMC Intercollegiate

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. ā€“ The Elon University men’s golf team completed its second round at the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove on Monday, Sept. 19, and remains in 14th place at 40-over par (306-310–616).

Mississippi holds a two-shot lead at 2-over par (292-286–578) heading into the final round. College of Charleston is two shots back at 4-over par (292-288–580).

HIGHLIGHTS
Leading the way for the Phoenix is William Harwood, who sank three birdies en route to a 2-over par round of 74. Harwood improved nine spots on the leaderboard and is now tied for 43rd at 6-over par (76-74–150).

William Ronnholm carded his second consecutive round in the 70s, a 5-over par round of 77. Through two rounds, Ronnholm is tied for 53rd at 7-over par (74-77–151).

Charlie May posted a round of 77 for the second straight day and is tied for 66th at 10-over par (77-77–154) with 18 holes to play.

Jared Mactas and Logan Membrino each shot 82 in the second round. Mactas is tied for 75th (79-82–161) while Membrino is 78th (81-82–163).

The Phoenix will play the final round of the FAMC Intercollegiate at The Grove tomorrow, Sept. 20.
