Final Day of Men’s Tennis’ Elon Fall Invitational Cancelled

ELON, N.C. – The final day of the men’s tennis Elon Fall Invitational has been cancelled due to rain on Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

FINAL RESULTS

Salvador Mijares was the highlight of Elon’s showing in its tournament, reaching the final of the A1 Singles Draw, which included an epic comeback in the semifinals. Mijares finished 3-0 in singles play during the tournament.

“Overall I felt it was a good tournament for our guys,” said Elon head coach Michael Leonard. “Salvador [Mijares], who was a little under the weather this weekend, really showed his heart and toughness making the finals against some quality opponents. We now have a few weeks to work on our games individually before competing in the Regionals.”
