Since we finally have last week complete, let’s look ahead to what is on the schedule for this week in Guilford County, as we set the table with the High School Football Game Plate/Game Day/Game Night….All kickoffs set for 7:30pm, unless we see otherwise…
There are only two Unbeaten teams now remaining in Guilford County and that would be the Dudley Panthers at (7-0) and the Eastern Guilford Wildcats, also at (7-0)….

Southern Alamance(2-5) at Dudley(7-0)
Page(6-1) at Grimsley(3-4)
Smith(2-5) at Southeast Guilford(3-4)
Northern Guilford(1-6) at Eastern Guilford(7-0)
Southwest Guilford(6-1) at Ragsdale(2-5)
Northwest Guilford(5-2) at High Point Central(2-5)
Glenn(5-2) at East Forsyth(6-1)
Asheboro(5-2) at Southern Guilford(6-2)
Burlington Williams(5-3) at Northeast Guilford(3-4)
High Point Andrews(3-4) at Randleman(6-1)
Cannon School(4-3) at High Point Christian Academy(4-1) 7pm at the High Point Athletic Complex(Homecoming)
*****Brad Hoover who was always some sort of a ‘Cat’, is the coach of the Cannon Cougars and tell me this is not a little bit crazy now, he played high school ball for the Ledford Panthers, played college ball for the Western Carolina Catamounts, played pro football for the Carolina Panthers and now he coaches the Cannon Cougars….That is a bit “Cat”-astrophic don’t you think???…Well maybe…..Some sort of feline lineage here though, that is for sure, my feline friends…..*****
Mount Airy(7-0) at Bishop McGuinness(4-4)
Western Guilford(1-7) OFF

Kind of a wild one away from our local charts to look at this week and that is this one….
Tuscola(7-0) at Pisgah(7-0)…..Big-Time Western North Carolina 3-A matchup with former Northeast Guilford Rams coach Tommy Pursley taking his men from Tuscola into the Pisgah forest to face the Bears….I still remember the top nose guard in the state who played for Pisgah back in the 70’s Ty Smith and Pisgah has been a football powerhouse many times over the years, as has Tuscola…..

  • Andy Durham said,

We have added another game to the bottom/lower portion of our list with Tommy Pursley’s Tuscola team at (7-0) visiting the Pisgah Bears(7-0) this week….

Coach Pursley the former head football coach for the Northeast Guilford Rams and ready to meet Pisgah in what some are saying is the top game in the state this week….

Wished I had seen, or remembered this one sooner and we would have added it to our list of contest games for this week….
