College Volleyball Final – Guilford 3, Hollins 0

ROANOKE, Va. – Casey Davis put away a match-high 14 kills on a season-best .462 hitting in Guilford College’s 3-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) volleyball win at Hollins University Thursday.

The Quakers hit a season-best .327 as a team in their 25-12, 25-19, 25-17 victory, which evened their overall record at 10-10 (4-3 ODAC). Hollins dropped to 2-18 (0-8 ODAC).

In addition to superior hitting, Guilford also served up 12 aces in the three-set contest, its second-highest total this year. Davis, Christian Ritter and Meredith Humphreys served up three aces apiece.

The Quakers’ Jessica Sheek added seven kills on .417 hitting along with one block. Jasmine Gaines had six kills on .333 hitting and five digs. Morgan Tompkins and Heather Crawford had five kills apiece. Tina Eucker led the setters with 31 assists.

Deja Hadden paced Hollins with 14 kills and three blocks. Amanda Mink had 15 digs and Casey Mahan contributed 19 assists.
