Wyatt Smith’s Guilford County Football Top-10: Week 11

With only two weeks left in the regular season, and two remaining unbeaten’s left in the county after week 11, here’s how our Guilford County teams line up…

  1. Dudley: (9-0 , 3-0) – Week 10 rank: (1)
  2. Eastern Guilford: (9-0 , 3-0) – Week 10 rank: (2)
  3. Page: (8-1 , 3-0) – Week 10 rank: (3)
  4. Southern Guilford: (8-2, 5-0) – Week 10 rank: (4)
  5. High Point Christian Academy: (6-1 , 3-0) – Week 10 rank: (7)
  6. Northwest Guilford: (6-3, 2-1) – Week 10 rank: (5)
  7. Southwest Guilford: (6-3 , 0-3) -Week 10 rank:(6)
  8. High Point Andrews: (5-4 , 3-0) – Week 10 rank: (10)
  9. Southeast Guilford: (5-4 , 2-1) – Week 10 rank: (9)
  10. Ragsdale: (4-5 , 2-1) – Week 10 rank: (Unranked)

Northeast Guilford is the only team to fall out of the Guilford County top 10 poll in week 11. The Ragsdale Tigers move back into our poll this week after their win over High Point Central on Friday night. There will be many important games in the following two weeks, and several Conference Titles will be crowned, some possibly on the last night of the regular season- Friday November 4th, 2016. Anyone think there should be any changes in the poll this week? How about High Point Christian moving up to the top-5, with both Northwest and Southwest losing their week 10 match-ups. After a slow start to the season, High Point Andrews alum John Patterson has his team headed in the right direction, hot, and winning at the right time of the season, in his first year as the head man for the Red Raiders. Another coach in his first year as head man, Earl Bates of Southern Guilford, also has his team playing well coming down the stretch, and they have only one more game to play before the playoffs start when the Storm of Southern Guilford host a tough Ledford team that is 7-2 on the year. The winner of the Ledford-Southern Guilford game will be the Mid-Piedmont 3A regular season champions, as the Panthers are also undefeated in conference action. Not to mention the Metro-4A title will be on the line when Page and Dudley play on Friday night.

We’re closing in on the end of the regular season, and things will be very exciting in the next two weeks.
