  1. Did you forget that Wesleyan is in the same neighborhood here in Guilford Co? Wesleyan is ranked #10 in the country.

  2. Too bad there are no longer any public school teams worth seeing locally. The old Dudley teams when PJ was around was the last team that I thought was a potential great team. Other than the Langley brothers over at SW, I can’t think any public school teams worth paying $6 to see on a nightly basic. I would imagine that the Langley twins will leave SW after this year since their brother is graduating. What has happened to public school basketball for boys?

  3. This trend was sparked when Coach K arrived at Northern. When he left most of the team followed him to ORMA.

A parent of one of those kids that left Dudley ended up shopping around his kid to 3 different private schools . Yeah, even the Little Four was more exciting back in the 80s and 90s especially when Coach Reggie Peace was over at Smith.

  4. I have not seen WES ranked ahead of GDS in any polls this year and can’t see how they would be….

Northwest Guilford can beat Southwest Guilford…Those are by far the two best public schools in the County and they can be as good as some of the old Dudley teams if all comes together for NWG and SWG…Those two are Very Good….(Boys) and Girls too for that matter….

Solid programs for both the Boys and the Girls at NWG and SWG…

  5. I just noticed that WES was ahead of GDS…I don’t see how…My apologies to WES for not recognizing them…

They are in the there, but I don’t see how….They have lost a lot and not sure how much of that they have replaced…Good program, but it is just me, but I don’t see them beating GDS this year…

This is a peak year for GDS with four very Top Players in Moorman, Perkins, Dillard and Newman…

I have not see anyone talking about who WES has, but maybe it is time to wake up to WES…

I will still take GDS over WES and HPCA all day long…

Brandon Clifford took a job with the Dallas Mavericks and he is working for Mark Cuban now….

Is is GDS to roll or will WES and HPCA have a role in what happens this year????

Who do you like better, SWG or NWG???

    Basketball season is here….

Maybe I can get over this blindness and start seeing WES when they show up in the poll…Again my mistake and poor vision on my part…I just wasn’t looking for them and didn’t expect to see them there, but I did expect to see GDS….

    Talk On….

  6. I am going to have to talk to Jim Stout and see what is coming out over there at the MAX PREPS….

  7. Wesleyan has done a good job bringing some players in – there tall , athletic and can play. They had a workout over there back September- October and there were at least 8 maybe more D1 coaches sitting in gym. Including UCLA.

  8. We have heard about Aaron Wiggins, who else does WES have this year that we should be looking for….

  9. Other notable Wesleyan players:

David Caraher 6’6 Houston Baptist commit
Javelin Hoard 6’8 Jr. offers from WF, Cal, Wash, and Okla St
Ian Steere 6’8 Jr offers from UNCC, HP, and Hampton
    Deaundre Wilkins 6’10 So
    Shawn Walker Jr 6’5 So

  10. Yes, I have seen David Caraher’s name from the past, but do not know the other young men…May have seen Steel’s name somewhere…
