High School Football Saturday Morning Rewind with key links, this smoke stinks and trying to avoid the Holiday jinx:That 98-yard return by Seagraves was something to see

Starting out the key links from all over the place today…

This had to be one of the Wildest if not The Wild One last night with Southwest Guilford at Watauga:
BOONE — In a prep football game that had 99 points and slightly less than 900 yards in total offense, Watauga needed a spectacular defensive play to win its first state 4-A playoff game since 2011.

Watauga hung on with the ends of its fingernails to claim a 50-49 win over Southwest Guilford Nov. 18 at Jack Groce Stadium in a game that saw the Pioneers avenge a triple-overtime loss to Southwest Guilford in 2015. The Pioneers advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2011 when they beat Alexander Central, then a fellow Northwestern Conference member, in the first round.

  1. Think Dudley kicked one against HP Central in playoffs 2004. HP Central unbeaten at the time held to 1 TD at Simeon Stadium.
