Elon’sBallotti Earns NCCSIA All-State Women’s Soccer First Team Accolades

ELON, N.C. – The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) announced its selections for the 2016 University Division All-State Women’s Soccer Teams and Elon University junior Kendall Ballotti earned her second-straight first team all-state honor.

Playing a major role in the back line, junior captain Ballotti earned first team accolades after helping the Phoenix post seven shutouts in 2016, the third highest total in the CAA. She also proved to be a goal scoring threat finishing tied for second on the team with three goals. She also recorded an assist to finish with a season tally of seven points.

Following the 2016 season, the junior became the program’s first player to earn CAA first team honors. Ballotti also became the first player to earn conference first team accolades since Nicole Dennion and Olivia Mackey were named to the 2013 All-SoCon first team.

This is the ninth time that an Elon player has been selected to the NCCSIA All-State team and she is the fourth Phoenix player to earn first-team accolades.
