GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College football team has been awarded the USA South Athletic Conference Football Team Sportsmanship Award, the conference announced Monday.

“I want to thank all of the conference student-athletes for voting to give this award to our kids,” Head Coach Greg Crum said. “This is a true testament of our player’s hard work, dedication, and love of the game.

“We are continuously striving to change the culture of Greensboro College football, and sportsmanship is one of the most important aspects of that. This award provides our program with a great stepping stone into the future, and I could not be happier for our guys.”

During the 2004-2005 academic year the USA South Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee instituted a Conference-wide Sportsmanship award. Today, the USA South announced is winner from the fall season.

The award is determined by a conference wide-student athlete vote. Each conference student-athlete votes for the team that they deemed to have demonstrated the best overall sportsmanship throughout the season.
