SG),GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kemar Bachelor (Greensboro, N.C./Southern Guilford), Steven Baldwin (Greensboro, N.C./Southeast Guilford), Bryce Craig (Greensboro, N.C./Ragsdale), Ke’Desh Edwards (Greensboro, N.C./Western Guilford), Steven Gordon (Greensboro, N.C./Western Guilford) and Harrison Kiser (Greensboro, N.C./Page) recently completed the 2016 football season at Guilford College.

Kemar Bachelor Guilford 2017
Kemar Bachelor (Greensboro, N.C./Southern Guilford)

Bachelor, a 5-8, 280-pound defensive lineman, started in each of Guilford’s 10 contests. The senior served as a stalwart in the middle of the Quakers’ defense that ranked second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in total defense, allowing 335.8 yards per game. Guilford also ranked second in rushing defense league-wide with 178.3 yards per contest. The senior enjoyed his best season as a Quaker, with 16 tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss. His best performance was a three-stop outing versus ODAC-rival Shenandoah University, where he assisted on one sack and tallied a tackle for loss.

In four seasons with the Quakers, Bachelor appeared in 29 games. He tallied 34 tackles (12 solo, 22 assisted), with one sack and 2.5 tackles for loss. A biology and health sciences double major, he was named to Guilford’s Spring 2016 Student-Athlete Honor Roll and plans to graduate this spring.

Steven Baldwin Guilford 2020
Steven Baldwin (Greensboro, N.C./Southeast Guilford)

Baldwin, a 5-9, 190-pound running back, played in two games as a reserve. He totaled 13 rushing yards on five carries. Baldwin had eight yards on three carries in the Quakers’ win over Catholic University of America.

Bryce Craig Guilford 2020
Bryce Craig (Greensboro, N.C./Ragsdale)

Craig, a 6-2, 195-pound tight end, played in seven games on special teams. He intends to play lacrosse for the Quakers this spring.

Ke'Desh Edwards Guilford 2017
Ke’Desh Edwards (Greensboro, N.C./Western Guilford)

Edwards, a 6-3, 210-pound defensive back, appeared in each of the Quakers’ 10 games almost exclusively on special teams. The team’s leader in blocks in each of his four seasons, Edwards blocked two kicks this year, raising his career total to a school-record 10. In four years with Guilford, Edwards appeared in 35 games and tallied five total tackles on defense and special teams. He spent his first two seasons splitting time at wide receiver, where he recorded 14 catches for 234 yards with one touchdown.

A two-time member of Guilford’s Student Athlete Honor Roll, Edwards serves as a member of Guilford’s Brothers Doing Positive club, and works as a student mentor at nearby elementary schools. He will graduate with a degree in sport management.

Steven Gordon Guilford 2018
Steven Gordon (Greensboro, N.C./Western Guilford)

Gordon, a 6-2, 260-pound offensive lineman, started all 10 games for Guilford at left guard. He blocked for one of the ODAC’s premiere offenses that ranked second in points per game (34.0 ppg.) and first in yards per game (476.4 ypg.). The junior helped pave for the way for two of the program’s top individual-season performers: running back Hunter Causey carried the ball for 1,047 yards, the fourth-best mark in Guilford history, while quarterback Karsten Miller threw for 2,248 yards, good for 10th all-time.

Harrison Kiser Guilford 2020

Kiser, a 6-2, 180-pound punter, appeared in each of the Quakers’ 10 contests. He took over primary punting duties in week four, and finished the season with 46 attempts for 1,747 yards, a 38.0 yard average. He landed 17 balls inside the 20-yard line and forced 13 fair catches. He recorded a season-long 60-yard punt against Shenandoah University in a game where he punted three times for 142 yards and a season-best 47.3 yard average. Kiser recorded one tackle against ODAC-foe Catholic University in a 59-0 Guilford victory. He also handled most of the Quakers’ kickoffs and averaged 56.2 yards per kick with three touchbacks.

Coach Chris Rusiewicz’s Quakers posted a 4-6 overall record (1-6 ODAC). Guilford won its first four games of the season and extended its winning streak to a school-record 10 games, one of nine standards set during the 2016 season. The Quakers are slated to return as many as 76 letter winners and 14 starters in 2017.
