RICHMOND, Va. – Ra’Shika White of the Elon University women’s basketball team was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the second straight week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon, Dec. 12.
White scored a team and career-high 19 points during the Phoenix’s contest last Thursday at ACC foe No. 21 Duke. The Charlotte, N.C., native was 8-of-15 from the floor while adding seven boards with a block and two steals. It was White’s fourth double-digit scoring output on the season with back-to-back performances coming versus ACC schools North Carolina and Duke.
The Phoenix returns to the floor this Saturday, Dec. 17, with a contest at East Tennessee State. Tipoff begins at 2 p.m.
